Would you like to have longer hair? Have you noticed that your hair hasn’t been growing as fast as it used to? Well, there are very logical explanations for this phenomenon. There are also proven solutions to accelerate hair growth.
Although time plays a key role in hair growth, there are some natural solutions that are extremely effective in achieving your goal.
Discover 6 lemon-based tricks to get the hair you’ve been dreaming of, using very simple ingredients. Of course, for best results, choose organic products.
Why lemon?
Lemon is an essential food for the health of the body and hair. Thanks to its antioxidant and antibacterial qualities, lemon regulates the production of sebum on the scalp, making the hair less greasy while limiting the formation of hair dandruff. In addition, this vitamin C-rich fruit helps hair regain its natural shine and cleanses it thoroughly.
Here are the 6 tricks that accelerate your hair growth:
1. Lemon juice + essential oil of garlic
Hair contains keratin, a sulphur-rich protein that strengthens the hair and promotes the structure of the hair fibre. When the hair fibre is damaged or in reduced quantities, garlic is very useful because it contains a high sulphur content that provides intense nourishment to the scalp. In addition, garlic contains vitamin B5, which is also found in keratin and helps promote hair growth.
To make this mask, mix the juice of one lemon and three tablespoons of garlic oil in a bowl. Apply the mixture to the scalp and massage it into the mask. After 15 minutes, rinse your hair with warm water.
2. Lemon juice + argan oil
Argan oil is excellent for hair. Rich in vitamin E and antioxidants, it moisturizes the scalp, protects it against external aggressions and promotes its growth. According to Gina Rivera, hair expert, this is due to the phenols it contains, allowing to clear the hair pores and promote hair growth.
To prepare this application, put in a bowl 4 tablespoons of argan oil and the juice of half a lemon. Then apply the solution to the scalp and massage gently. Let the mask work for an hour and then rinse with warm water.
3.lemon juice + castor oil
Rich in fatty acids, castor oil deeply nourishes hair by improving its texture, reinforcing its quality and promoting shine.
To prepare the mask, mix the juice of one lemon with 3 tablespoons of castor oil. Apply to the roots and ends, massaging gently. Rinse off after 2 hours.
4. Lemon juice + egg + olive oil
The egg is rich in vitamins, proteins and fatty acids that are very good for hair health. In particular, it contains vitamin D, which is said to have a considerable effect on women suffering from alopecia. Combined with the polyphenols in olive oil, it protects damaged hair, nourishes it and restores strength and shine.
To prepare this mask, mix the juice of half a lemon, an egg and 5 tablespoons of olive oil. Massage the mask into your hair. Leave the mask on for an hour before rinsing.
5. Lemon juice + avocado oil + shea butter
Avocado oil is rich in fatty acids and vitamin E which nourish the hair in depth. Thanks to its moisturizing action, it strengthens and increases hair growth by promoting good hair health. In addition, shea butter softens the hair and facilitates the production of sebum making the hair more resistant and shiny.
To prepare this mask, mix one tablespoon of shea butter, two tablespoons of avocado oil and the juice of half a lemon. Then apply the mask to all your hair and leave it on for 2 hours before rinsing.
6. Lemon juice + aloe vera + coconut oil
Aloe vera is rich in vitamins A, B6 and B9. It helps to cleanse the hair by regulating the production of sebum, preventing the hair from being too greasy or on the contrary too dry. In addition, aloe vera promotes blood circulation in the scalp, stimulating hair growth. In addition, coconut oil moisturizes the scalp perfectly. Rich in vitamins A and E, it combats hair dryness and gives hair suppleness and shine.
To apply this mask, mix two tablespoons of coconut oil with two tablespoons of aloe vera gel in a bowl. Then apply the mask to your hair and leave it on for 1 hour before rinsing.
Cautions and warnings
Exposure to the sun after applying lemon to the hair is not recommended. Be sure to rinse the mask before going out to avoid weakening and damaging your hair tissue.
Before using an essential oil, do a skin test by applying a drop to a thin part of the skin (hollow of the elbow or inside of the wrist) and wait 48 hours to avoid any risk of allergy.
